FX President John Landgraf assures that the long-brewing adaptation of Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming’s Powers is still in the works, with crime novelist Charlie Huston helping to develop “a whole new pilot from scratch.”
Co-creator Brian Michael Bendis assures fans that the fate of FX’s Powers pilot hasn’t been sealed quite yet, saying “it’s going to take some time but we’re still in the game.”
Charles S. Dutton, who plays Captain Cross in FX’s adaptation of Powers, says the network will need to make a decision about the pilot reshoot by March 1, when “everybody’s deal changes.”
FX is expected to decide in the next couple of months whether its adaptation of Powers, the long-running comic by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, will move beyond the pilot stage.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, FX President John Landgraf said the adaptation of the acclaimed comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming has the potential to reinvent the superhero genre on television.
