The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire and Justified are among the nominees for best new series in the Writers Guild of America awards. Breaking Bad, 30 Rock and Modern Family lead the overall nominations with three each.
Veteran actress Margo Martindale (Dexter, Dead Man Walking) has joined the cast of FX’s Justified. She’ll play the matriarch of a marijuana-dealing clan that’s been at war with Raylan Givens’ family since Prohibition.
Lost alumnus Jeremy Davies has joined the cast of FX’s neo-Western Justified as a weed-dealing rival from Raylan Givens’ past. The acclaimed series returns for a second season in February.
FX will return to Harlan County with a second season of Justified, the critically acclaimed modern Western set in the foothills of Kentucky.
