Passing on the crime drama Outlaw Country, FX has requested reshoots for the Powers pilot, based on the long-running comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. Bendis characterizes the development as “pretty good news.”
Called Furlough, the private detective/prison drama comes from author and comics writer Charlie Huston and The Walking Dead producer Circle of Confusion.
Speaking at the Television Critics Association press tour, FX President John Landgraf said the adaptation of the acclaimed comic series by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming has the potential to reinvent the superhero genre on television.
