Fans of the 2008 thriller Taken know what to expect from director Olivier Megaton’s sequel: an implausible plot, delightfully bad one-liners, disposable henchmen, and Liam Neeson snapping necks and kicking lots and lots of butt.
The trailer for Taken 2 finds Liam Neeson searching the alleyways of Istanbul for his kidnapped wife after the father of one of the men he killed in the first film swears revenge.
The actress stars as a stone-cold assassin looking for the mobster responsible for the deaths of her parents in the action-thriller from Transporter 3 director Olivier Megaton and Taken writers Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen.
Taken 2 is all but confirmed, with star Liam Neeson’s deal being finalized and producer Luc Besson working on a script with the first film’s writer, Robert Mark Kamen.
