Dimension Films has announced an Oct. 4, 2013, release date for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the sequel from co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller.

After completing Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Robert Rodriguez hopes to remake Ralph Bakshi and Frank Frazetta’s 1980s animated feature Fire and Ice.
Director Robert Rodriguez has confirmed that Mickey Rourke and Rosario Dawson will reprise their Sin City roles for the sequel A Dame to Kill For. However, he says he hasn’t yet spoken to Angelina Jolie, who’s long been his first choice to play Ava Lord in the adaptation of Frank Miller’s neo-noir crime comic.
Appearing at South By Southwest, director Robert Rodriguez provided updates on the sequels to Machete and Sin City, as well as his Heavy Metal remake.
