After one week at the top, The Bourne Legacy falls to the second spot as Lionsgate’s The Expendables 2 wins the North American box office with a $28.75 million opening weekend.
A resurgent weekend at the box office finally unseated The Dark Knight, rocketing The Bourne Legacy and The Campaign to the top two spots.
While funny, fast-paced and refreshingly self-aware, director Jay Roach’s political comedy The Campaign never really delivers what the audience wants: stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis completely unbridled.
At CinemaCon 2012 in Las Vegas, Warner Bros. presented a look at its upcoming movie slate, including The Dark Knight Rises, Dark Shadows and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
