Warner Bros. has now officially announced the six-minute opening sequence of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises will premiere on select IMAX screens in North America on Dec. 16 and in the United Kingdom on Dec. 21.

The Dark Knight Rises: Prologue, set to debut Dec. 16 with the 70mm IMAX version of Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, has received its own PG-13 rating for “some violence.”
