The Jim Henson Company has acquired the film rights to Frog and Toad, Arnold Lobel’s award-winning series of children’s books from the 1970s.
Guillermo del Toro and Mark Gustafson will co-direct Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, a 3D stop-motion animated adaptation of the classic tale set in Italy between World War I and World War II.
The director joins with The Jim Henson Company and Pathe for a 3D stop-motion animated version of the children’s classic, but with a much scarier feel.
