As Anne Hathaway circles a role in Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Robopocalypse, outgoing Fox chairman Tom Rothman has signed on to produce the sci-fi action movie.
Fox CEO Tim Rothman hints that the studio is looking beyond X-Men: First Class and The Wolverine, and teases that an announcement will be made this summer.
Fox CEO Tom Rothman confirmed at CinemaCon that, while The Wolverine will utilize sound stages in Sydney, Australia, the James Mangold-directed film will move to Japan for location work. The movie, which stars Hugh Jackman, opens July 26, 2013.
