Wes Anderson, the acclaimed writer/director of The Royal Tenenbaums, The Fantastic Mr. Fox and Moonrise Kingdom, isn’t in the running for Star Wars: Episode VII, but he thinks he could handle Han Solo’s backstory.
Hanna and The Lovely Bones star Saoirse Ronan has joined the cast of Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel, which features Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes and Anderson regulars Billy Murray, Owne Wilson, Anjelica Houston and Edward Norton, among others.
Johnny Depp is set to star alongside such Wes Anderson regulars as Bill Murray and Owen Wilson in the director’s next film, currently titled The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Focus Features has released the first trailer for director Wes Anderson’s Moonrise Kingdom, a quirky romantic comedy that stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman.
Wes Anderson’s previously “in talks” cast for Moonrise Kingdom reportedly firms up as a newcomer, Jason Schwartzman, joins the team.
Wes Anderson, director of Rushmore and The Royal Tenenbaums among other cult favorites, is populating his next film with an all-star cast that includes some old Anderson favorites as well some new faces to the director’s body of work.
