Legendary Pictures has hired Doug Jones (Moon, Source Code) to direct a film based on Blizzard’s wildly popular MMORPG The World of Warcraft.
Charles Leavitt, writer of Blood Diamond and the upcoming The Seventh Son, is set to tackle the expansive world of Blizzard’s MMORPG World Of Warcraft for Legendary Pictures.
Duncan Jones, director of the criminally under-viewed Moon and the forthcoming Source Code, thinks that Sam Raimi’s Warcraft is going to be the first video game movie to get it right.
Although recent reports peg Sam Raimi as the man behind the curtain for Oz, The Great and Powerful, the filmmaker is spending his creative energy on another franchise project: World of Warcraft.
